West Warwick, RI – August 1, 2000 – Since its inception in 1962, Guill Tool and Engineering has maintained a commitment that provides our customers the latest innovations in extrusion design and technology. This commitment has lead to the introduction of our precision 800 series crossheads.
The 800 series crosshead incorporates Guill’s Split Balanced flow design. This design allows the flexibility of fixed center or adjustable center operation. The 800 series is available in single, co, and triple extrusion and is adaptable to almost any extruder layout. The multi-layer designs also have the option of running single co, or triple extrusion by simply changing one or two component. The quick change tooling we employ means minimal downtime during production. The 800 series of crossheads, along with all Guill designs, include our patented Flow Splitter. The Flow Splitter provides a reduced extrudate memory set, elimination of dead spots, and low material inventory.
Guill Tool & Engineering located in West Warwick, Rhode Island, designs and manufactures several lines of extrusion tooling. Standard designs include single and adjustable center crossheads and inline dies from one to five layers with stripe. Other designs include rotating, spiral, corrugating, profile, and blow molding in multi-layer.
