A new series of highly engineered rotary/oscillating crossheads designed for advanced processing features multiple capabilities that improve product strength and eliminate secondary-stage processing requirements, is now available from Guill Tool & Engineering Co., Inc.

New Syncroflow Series from Guill Tool extrudes plastics and rubber simultaneously in the same tooling. This achieves better adhesion, with tighter tolerances as well as reduces the manufacturing cost because the extrusion is manufactured in one step versus the usual two or more steps.

The Multiflow’s valve allows extruders to manufacture either three-layer or up to five-layer tubing products with the use of fewer extruders. Cost savings are considerable Manufacturer are now able to make a three-layer product by using only two extruders, saving substantially on required outlays for capital equipment.

The MicroFlow spiral, a new ultra-low volume stainless steel crosshead design for multi-layered, thin wall extrusion accuracy is now fully adaptable to all extruders and available for OEM and medical fluoropolymers. A balance flow design offers effortless assembly and disassembly of the crossheads, the spiral core is 0.375 of an inch and the maximum product size is 0.500 of an inch.

The FlexiSpiralô line of crossheads and inline dies from Guill Tool, based in West Warwick, Rhode Island, offers improved extrusion performance for pipe, wire, cable, and hose and tube manufacturing.
